W.

Plot:

Oliver Stone's biographical take on the life of George W. Bush, one of the most controversial, secretive, cynical, and ruthless president in USA history, chronicling from 1967 to his wild and carefree days in college, to his military service, to his governorship of Texas and oil businesses, leading to his 2000 candidacy for president, his first turbulent four years to his 2004 re-election campaign.

Review:

When I heard the idea for this movie, I was pretty stoked. When James Brolin signed on to play W., I was really getting into it. For the most part, this film delivers. All the funny one liners from W made this movie work. I think this flick was supposed to be a drama but turned out to be more of a comedy with a political satire of the Bush administration.

The bottom line here is that this is a decent movie with a good cast. The only thing unsettling about this movie is the end but you can't really end a movie that is still continuing in present day.

Funny note: Originally, Christian Bale was supposed to play George W. Bush but had problems with Bush's mannerisms. I guess you can't be the President, John Connor, and Batman all at the same time.

Rating: 3/5
