Street Kings

Plot:

Tom Ludlow is a veteran LAPD cop who finds life difficult to navigate after the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, he is forced to go up against the cop culture he's been a part of his entire career, ultimately leading him to question the loyalties of everyone around him.

Review:

First off, the story of this movie is decent but not great. Its about a team of cops that take down bad guys in conspicuous ways -- almost illegal/ borderline stuff.

Anyways, Keanu Reeves is the main character and he's pretty much playing the same role as he played in Constantine -- a depressed guy who is above the law and really doesn't give a shit -- and thats great! He plays that role good and I like when he does that Matrix 'i dont give a shit and i'll blow your head off type shit', it sells folks!

Its filled with other actors you've seen in shows but can't really remember there name and laugh at how bad they have been miscast. Remember that show ' Last Comic Standing' ? The host from season 1 is in there. Remember the Mexican fellow from Prison Break? Ya he's in there too. And here's a blast from the past, remember 'Northern Exposure'? Ya, that guys in here too. All playing policemen, who are supposed to be funny but turn out looking like a bunch of retarded cops.

To top if off you have Forest Whitaker, the mind reader from Species, playing a head police guy that is a complete head case. He does a good job but it seems that in every scene he's in with Keanu, its like he's trying to make it his scene. Which is CRAZY! You can't beat an amazing actor like Keanu Reeves, I mean ffs has anyone seen Bill and Ted's??? Thats acting at its finest!

Oh and watch out for the Human Torch and I'm not talking about Loki. Another Chris Evans plays the same character he plays in every movie. A person so intense it seems that if he's wearing his sunglasses they will shatter off his face in any minute causing a hurricane and destroying man kind.


But shit, decent movie, rushed story line that falls into place in the last 20 minutes and its got Frikin Keanu Reeves. What more can you ask for?

He's in there too, playing the same character you see him play every week on FOX. Except he's got a badge this time and a bad comb over.
