Changeling

Plot:
Inspired by actual events that occurred in 1920s-era Los Angeles, Clint Eastwood's "Changeling" tells the story of a woman driven to confront a corrupted LAPD after her abducted son is retrieved and she begins to suspect that the boy returned to her is not the same boy she gave birth to. The year was 1928, and the setting a working-class suburb of Los Angeles. As Christine (Angelina Jolie) said goodbye to her son, Walter, and departed for work, she never anticipated that this was the day her life would be forever changed. Upon returning home, Christine was distressed to discover that Walter was nowhere to be found. Over the course of the following months, the desperate mother would launch a search that would ultimately prove fruitless. Yet just when it seemed that all hope was lost, a nine-year-old boy claiming to be Christine's son seemed to appear out of thin air. Overcome with emotions and uncertain how to face the authorities or the press, Christine invites the child to stay in her home despite knowing without a doubt that he is not her son. As much as Christine would like to accept the fact that her son has been returned to her, she cannot accept the injustice being pushed upon her and continues to challenge the Prohibition-era Los Angeles police force at every turn. As a result, Christine is slandered by the powers that be, and painted as an unfit mother. In this town, a woman who challenges the system is putting her life on the line, and as the situation grows desperate, the only person willing to aid her in her search is benevolent local activist Reverend Briegleb

Review:
I was pretty skeptical about the idea of this movie and wasn't really into watching it. I was pleasantly surprised. This is a really touching tale of a women's battle with the LAPD in hopes of finder her son. Clint Eastwood directs and you can feel the emotion in every scene. Can't believe I'm gonna say this but...its one of the years best acting performances by Angelina Jolie. Very emotional movie are always very good. Be sure to check this out.

Pride and Glory

Plot:
A saga centered on a multi-generational family of New York City Police officers. The family's moral codes are tested when Ray Tierney, investigates a case that reveals an incendiary police corruption scandal involving his own brother-in-law. For Ray, the truth is revelatory, a Pandora's Box that threatens to upend not only the Tierney legacy but the entire NYPD.

Review:
This movie is long, slow and boring. Now, it has a great cast but that cant save just how drawn out this movie is. It runs 2hrs and 14 minutes and it could be cut back to 1hr into a Law & Order type movie and it will work a crapload better than this did. This movie was held back on release for over a year and I can see why the studio did so. The director tried to make this an epic tale but failed miserably. Ya just don't care what goes on in it.

RocknRolla

Plot:
In London, a real-estate scam puts millions of pounds up for grabs, attracting some of the city's scrappiest tough guys and its more established underworld types, all of whom are looking to get rich quick. While the city's seasoned criminals vie for the cash, an unexpected player -- a drugged out rock 'n' roller presumed to be dead but very much alive -- has a multi-million dollar prize fall into his hands.

Review:
This is all Guy Ritchie here. From the start this movie feels like his famous gems -- Snatch and Lock Stock and 2 Smoking barrels. If you like those movies then you'll love this one. Right off the bat, we get into it and its magnificent. Great characters, great dialogue, great action, great everything. This movie delivers on every mark. Classic Ritchie movies are just flat out fun to watch and this might be the funnest yet.

Now, be sure to remember this movie is not about Gerard Butler. Its all about Mark Strong. Remember that name. :)

Defiance

Plot:
On the run and hiding in the deep forests of the then German occupied Poland and Belorussia that was World War II, the THREE Bielski brothers find the impossible task of foraging for food, weapons and survival, not just for themselves but for a large mass of fleeing Polish Jews from the German war machine. The Bielski brothers, living with the fear of discovery, contending with neighboring Soviet partisans and knowing whom to trust take on the responsibility as a guardian angel that is a fascinating insight into the true events of a small independent group of defiant band-of-brothers. Consisting of women, men, children, the elderly and the young alike hiding in makeshift homes in the dark, cold and unforgiving forests in the darkest times of German occupied Eastern Europe, Defiance is a beautiful reflection of dedication, sacrifice, desperation and hope.

Review:
This movie was good. The fact that it was based on a true story is staggering. I'm a sucker for WW2 movies so I was really looking forward to this one. For the most part, this movie was solid throughout but just felt a bit off. The main reason for this, in my opinion, was the 2 lead actors -- Daniel Craig and Liev Schrieber. Now, I love Craig as the new Bond and Schrieber is also good but their performances just didn't go over in this movie. A major issue I noticed early was Craig's accent. It kept going from Russian to British, back to Russian. It was getting annoying. I'd recommend this movie to all the WW2 movie fans out there because it is a great story.

Gran Torino

Plot:

Kowalski is a grumpy, tough-minded, unhappy an old man, who can't get along with either his kids or his neighbors, a Korean War veteran whose prize possession is a 1972 Gran Torino he keeps in mint condition. When his neighbor Thao, a young Hmong teenager under pressure from his gang member cousin, tries to steal his Gran Torino, Kowalski sets out to reform the youth. Drawn against his will into the life of Thao's family, Kowalski is soon taking steps to protect them from the gangs that infest their neighborhood.

Review:
Its hard to judge which Clint Eastwood movie is his best, but this one ranks up there. Gran Torino is the perfect movie for Eastwood. He plays his character perfect and through him this movie is one of the year's best. His demeanor, prejudice and anger fuels this movie into a great film. Eastwood also brings some comedy in this one and its a delight to see. Recommended to all.

Plot:
A Mumbai teen who grew up in the slums, becomes a contestant on the Indian version of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" He is arrested under suspicion of cheating, and while being interrogated, events from his life history are shown which explain why he knows the answers.

Review:
Just won Best Picture at the Oscars and its well deserved. This movie is a journey through one mans life of hardships and turmoil in Mumbai. It brings you a taste of what life is like in India through the horrible events that unfold. The film makes you feel for the character throughout his life and the conclusion leaves you with a special feeling. I recommend this film to everyone.

Zach and Miri Make a Porno

Plot:
Zack and Miri are two lifelong platonic friends who make an adult film to pay the rent of their apartment. With their friend Delaney, the couple set out for auditionees for their porn film, but in the process of filming, they realize they feel more for each other than they had before.

Review:
Typical Kevin Smith movie. Good ideas, good dialogue and great comedy. This movie made me laugh my ass off. Kevin Smith gives us hilarious laughs while telling a really good story in the process. The last 5 minutes really make this movie more than just a regular comedy. Rogen at the high school reunion is hilarious as well as Randal in a 'shitty' position during the filming. Warning that its not a movie for youngsters... well no Kevin Smith movie is.

Body of Lies

Plot:
Roger Ferris is a CIA operative in the Middle East; Ed Hoffman is his control at Langley. Cynicism is everywhere. In Amman, Roger works with Hani Salaam, Jordan's head of security, whose only dictum is "Don't lie to me." The Americans are in pursuit of a cleric who leads a group placing bombs all over Europe. When Hani rebukes Ed's demand that Jordan allow the Americans to use one of Jordan's double agents, Roger and Ed hatch a plan to bring the cleric to them. The plan is complicated by its being a secret from Hani and by Roger's attraction to a local nurse. Satellites and cell phones, bodies and lies: modern warfare

Review:
One of those CIA spy movies with big names -- DiCaprio and Crowe -- and a decent story. That's about it. Nothing too interesting or exciting. The movie dives into modern day terrorism with Dirka Dirka Jihad and other typical extremist Muslim views but we've seen this done before in better movies -- Traitor. The movie keeps you entertained just enough to make you watch it to the end then leaves you.

The only standout is actor Mark Strong. Many of you are saying 'who the hell is Mark Strong?'. Well get used to his name cause this guy will be a big name in major flicks in the future. Check him out in RockNRolla and tell me I'm wrong.

Both Nick and Norah have to figure out what they want.

Review:
This movie is right up there with Garden State. Same kind of tale involving two people that come together and find out what they want in life. Garden State did this exceptionally well and this movie does the same. Let's not fool each other here, this is kind of a chick-flick. I found the movie had some funny moments though so it wasn't all wussy throughout. In general, this is a really solid movie and I'd recommend you all to check it out. Now, if you're like me and usually don't watch chick-flick movies, there is some hot looking women in it as well--see below. So keep that in mind.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Plot:
Devastated Peter takes a Hawaii vacation in order to deal with recent break-up with his TV star girlfriend, Sarah. Little does he know Sarah's traveling to the same resort as her ex ... and she's bringing along her new boyfriend.

Review:
I liked this movie. It was funny, hat hot women and told a good story. Jason Segel was hilarious as the lead and Jonah Hill and Paul Rudd were equally funny as the random hotel workers. Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis were smoking hot. There were some parts that dragged a bit and some jokes that just didn't go over. Also, Bill Hader, who is hilarious in every movie he does, just wasn't funny as he usually is. Other than that, this movie works and I'll recommend it to all of you -- just watch out for the full frontal scenes, heh

W.

Plot:

Oliver Stone's biographical take on the life of George W. Bush, one of the most controversial, secretive, cynical, and ruthless president in USA history, chronicling from 1967 to his wild and carefree days in college, to his military service, to his governorship of Texas and oil businesses, leading to his 2000 candidacy for president, his first turbulent four years to his 2004 re-election campaign.

Review:

When I heard the idea for this movie, I was pretty stoked. When James Brolin signed on to play W., I was really getting into it. For the most part, this film delivers. All the funny one liners from W made this movie work. I think this flick was supposed to be a drama but turned out to be more of a comedy with a political satire of the Bush administration.

The bottom line here is that this is a decent movie with a good cast. The only thing unsettling about this movie is the end but you can't really end a movie that is still continuing in present day.

Funny note: Originally, Christian Bale was supposed to play George W. Bush but had problems with Bush's mannerisms. I guess you can't be the President, John Connor, and Batman all at the same time.

Max Payne

Plot:

Coming together to solve a series of murders in New York City are a DEA agent whose family was slain as part of a conspiracy and an assassin out to avenge her sister's death. The duo will be hunted by the police, the mob, and a ruthless corporation.

Review:

This movie was 'payneful' to watch. They tried to make it look like and feel like Sin City. Problem is, the story dragged and was full of pointless fluff. I understood they wanted to make Marky Mark look depressed and sad but they really went overboard. 30 minutes in and I could really care less for either characters -- Max and Jacky from that 70s show. The constant slow-mo shots and impossible killing sprees were just silly.

The only standout in this flick was the 10 second spot that James McCaffrey got as the FBI agent -- loved this guy in Rescue Me. Other than that I would not recommend this movie to anyone. Its just not worth it.

Jake complies, and through narration and flashbacks, we watch him through at least three days of schemes, danger, and redemption. Who is his greatest enemy?

Review:
I like Guy Richie movies. Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels and Snatch are both at the top of my lists. This was his next big hit, supposedly. I just want to go out and say on the record 'fuck Madonna'. Cause this whole movie's underlining theme is all about the religion she brought to Ritchie (kabbalah) and I'm not sure if thats a good thing or not but I guess it works here.

Anyways, this is one of those thinking man movies. It makes you try and figure out whats going on and its really well done. Just when you think you figured it out, they throw you a curve ball and switch it up. Makes you mess with your mind. I like movies that do that. I still think that his 2 early films are better than this movie but this movie is so much different than those films its hard to compare.

If you want a mind-bender type flick check this out. Be sure to pay attention to it though cause you can be totally messed up at the end if you don't.

Phone Booth

Plot (from IMDB)

Stu Shepard (Farrell) is an arrogant publicist who thinks he has the whole world in his hands. Every day he uses the same phone booth to call the woman (Holmes) he is cheating on his wife (Mitchell) with. But on the last day, before this particular phone booth is demolished, the phone rings. Stu naturally answers the phone, only to find the caller (Sutherland) on the end is an invisible sniper who knows everything on Stu, including his relationships. The caller now has Stu as his hostage, who demands he comes clean with his wife.

Review:

This is a perfect movie for Farrel. He plays an asshole, which everyone already thinks. So its easy for him to play the role. The hard part is for him to come around to the good side at the end of it... still not sure if he completes it. Kiether Sutherland is the man in this one, as always, even though we only see him for 10 seconds. The movie is really good at keeping it very tense all the way through and its not hard cause its not a very short movie. All in all, decent flick. Check it out if you haven't already.

Finding that love and football have a surprisingly similar playbook, however, he has one maneuver he will save just for the fourth quarter...

Review:

Old fashion football flick that has some decent laughs but really thats it. Clooney is pretty good in it but his actor is similar to the one he portrayed in 'O Brother where art thou' which is a way better movie. Jim Halpert from the Office is in there but is no where near as funny as he is in the TV show. Funniest part is when they get their new 'kicker' but thats about it.

When Zohan decides to confront these skinheads, he does not realize that he is in for quite a few surprises himself

Review:

I thought this movie was gonna be stupid like Love Guru. I was pleasantly surprised. This movie is hilarious, has a good story and contains all the same actors that show up in every Adam Sandler movie. Those elements = comedic gold baby! Keep an eye on the Fizzy-Bubbeleh. Also, Emmanuelle Chriqui is smokin' hot!

Review:

This is an odd one. It had great promise at first with all the big name actors/actresses in it -- Marky Mark, Jaquoin Phoenix , Robert Duval and smoking Eva Mendez. In the end though, I think the movie went a different went then what I expected. It was still good just kinda weird. Pretty strong performance from Phoenix as usual.

Transsiberian

Plot:

Americans abroad. Roy and Jessie finished a volunteer stint in China. He loves trains, so they go home via the Trans-Siberia Express. There are strains in the relationship, including her past. They meet Carlos, a Spaniard, traveling with Abby, a young American. Carlos keeps close to Jessie, and when Roy is left behind and waits a day for the next train so he can catch up, Jessie and Carlos take a trip into the dead of winter to photograph a ruined church. Carlos may be running drugs, so, later, when Roy catches up and introduces Jessie to his new pal, an English speaking Russian narcotics detective, he's the last person Jessie wants to see. Will the Siberian desolation be their undoing?

Review:

This movie takes place on a train. So there's not much in terms of action. So you'd expect some good conversation/dialouge/bs. There is some of that but nothing really exciting... at all. I should also note that this is a second rate produced film. Its not very good quality and you can really see it. Ben Kingsley and his Russian accent is the best part of this one. Beyond that, I wouldn't recommend it.

Will the intelligence agencies talk to each other, and can Horn be stopped?

Review:

Pretty decent flick. One of those movies that make you think 'WTF is wrong with these people and the way they think?'. These type of movies always get me stirred up and to me is a indicator of a good movie. This movie has to deal with terrorism all the the jihad shit that goes along with it so you'll all love the ending, which is one of the best I've seen in a while.

The Rocker

Plot:

The Rocker tells the story of a failed drummer who is given a second chance at fame. Robert Fish Fishman is the extremely dedicated and astoundingly passionate drummer for the eighties hair band Vesuvius, who is living the rock n' roll dream until he is unceremoniously kicked out of the band. Twenty years after his rock star fantasies are destroyed, just when Fish has finally given up all hope, he hears that his nephew's high school rock band A.D.D. is looking for a new drummer. They reluctantly make him the newest member of the band, giving him a chance to reclaim the rock God throne he's always thought he deserved, and taking the young band along for the ride of their lives.

Review:

Decent flick. Some pretty good laughs with Dwight Schrute but then there's some bad ones that were just not going over. Overall its a good story about a guy getting a second chance -- even though he acts like an idiot most of the movie -- and a few kids getting their big break. Still entertaining. His former band is pretty funny in the first and last scenes -- some familiar faces in there. I'd check out this movie if you really like The Office but it might suck to you if you don't know who the main actor is. Also, the chick in the movie is hot even though she might be young. Just checked it. She's legal! Woohoo!

When he learns of oil-rich land in California that can be bought cheaply, he moves his operation there and begins manipulating and exploiting the local landowners into selling him their property. Using his young adopted son H.W. to project the image of a caring family man, Plainview gains the cooperation of almost all the locals with lofty promises to build schools and cultivate the land to make their community flourish. Over time, Plainview's gradual accumulation of wealth and power causes his true self to surface, and he begins to slowly alienate himself from everyone in his life.

Review:

This movie is pretty much just one big Daniel Day-Lewis flick. He does a really good job in portraying the main actor -- he did win the oscar for it. The story is meh and gets boring over time. The ending is also disappointing yet satisfying but that seems to be the theme these days (no country for old men ect..). The character of the preacher in this one was wanting me to kill him... so i guess they did a good job in that regards. Still a good movie though. I'd check it out just for Lewis' performance.

It's agreed he can handle it his own way, on his own terms. But once he's in the race and his prospects begin to improve, the deal starts to change.

Review:

Starring Robert Redford and the dude that played the father in Everybody Loves Raymond. Pretty good flick about a underdog running for US senator. It gets kinda unreal at the end but its a pretty good movie if you interested in politics. Redford is the man in this as always and the film seems to fly by.

As the world around them manifests into a literal hell-on-earth, the horrified citizens try desperately to survive this apocalyptic disaster

Review:

First off, the monsters in the movie are corny as hell but the ending is completely worth it. Good actors in this one make you want to like them or kill them. Thats why I like this movie. Pretty much it. Check it out, you might love it or your might hate it.

In his anger, Sweeney goes on a murderous rampage on all London. But not one man nor ten thousand men killed can satisfy Sweeney's lust for vengeance on those who've caused his years of pain.

Review:

First off. This is a musical...and that surprised me since I was not expecting that and that I hate musicals. BUT... this one wasnt that bad because it had cussing, killing and a bit of T&A. These elements usally make up good movies for me so I was able to dismiss the singing, which was oddly not that bad after all. Decent flick.

Street Kings

Plot:

Tom Ludlow is a veteran LAPD cop who finds life difficult to navigate after the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, he is forced to go up against the cop culture he's been a part of his entire career, ultimately leading him to question the loyalties of everyone around him.

Review:

First off, the story of this movie is decent but not great. Its about a team of cops that take down bad guys in conspicuous ways -- almost illegal/ borderline stuff.

Anyways, Keanu Reeves is the main character and he's pretty much playing the same role as he played in Constantine -- a depressed guy who is above the law and really doesn't give a shit -- and thats great! He plays that role good and I like when he does that Matrix 'i dont give a shit and i'll blow your head off type shit', it sells folks!

Its filled with other actors you've seen in shows but can't really remember there name and laugh at how bad they have been miscast. Remember that show ' Last Comic Standing' ? The host from season 1 is in there. Remember the Mexican fellow from Prison Break? Ya he's in there too. And here's a blast from the past, remember 'Northern Exposure'? Ya, that guys in here too. All playing policemen, who are supposed to be funny but turn out looking like a bunch of retarded cops.

To top if off you have Forest Whitaker, the mind reader from Species, playing a head police guy that is a complete head case. He does a good job but it seems that in every scene he's in with Keanu, its like he's trying to make it his scene. Which is CRAZY! You can't beat an amazing actor like Keanu Reeves, I mean ffs has anyone seen Bill and Ted's??? Thats acting at its finest!

Oh and watch out for the Human Torch and I'm not talking about Loki. Another Chris Evans plays the same character he plays in every movie. A person so intense it seems that if he's wearing his sunglasses they will shatter off his face in any minute causing a hurricane and destroying man kind.

But shit, decent movie, rushed story line that falls into place in the last 20 minutes and its got Frikin Keanu Reeves. What more can you ask for?

You can ask for HOUSE!

He's in there too, playing the same character you see him play every week on FOX. Except he's got a badge this time and a bad comb over.

Strange Wilderness

Plot:

When his father dies, Peter Gaulke inherits "Strange Wilderness," dad's TV show about animals. After ratings plummet and the show is canceled, we watch a long flashback to see its demise. The studio head gives the show two more weeks. An old friend brings a story about Bigfoot in Ecuador, so a long road trip ensues with stops along the way and enough problems, misjudgments, and deaths to sink a less intrepid band. Peter's team faces competition from a better-funded and more practiced set of rivals. Who will find Bigfoot first, and will they get it on tape and save the show? Can Peter make dad proud?

Review:

This movie is a cross between Superbad and Grandma's Boy. So you kinda see where its going... This movie was really dumb up until the part where they enter the jungle/Steve Zahn enters a wild turkey. Then, surprisingly, it was ridiculously funny. So funny in fact, that when the Bigfoot scene happened I couldn't stop laughing for 3 minutes. I recommend you all to try watch the first half of this movie and then pay attention to the last half. Its worth it. The movie also has all the guys in the Adam Sandler movies, the bigger kid from Superbad and FARVA! Check it out!

Initial antipathy threatens the household's peace and the parents' relationship. Dad lays down the law: both slackers have a week to find a job. Out of the job search and their love of music comes a pact that leads to friendship but more domestic disarray compounded by the boys' sleepwalking. Hovering nearby are Brennan's successful brother and his lonely wife: the brother wants to help sell his step-father's house, the wife wants Dale's attention, and the newlyweds want to retire and sail the seven seas. Can harmony come from the discord?

Review:

I was expecting this movie to be similar to Talladega Nights cause it had the same two guys as the leads. I was wrong. This movie was attempting to be Superbad + Any other Will Ferrel movie. A lot of profanity and gross gags kinda dumbed down this movie. Some funny scenes but all in all it just didn't work. Will Ferrel needs to go back to SNL or something cause this movie made me never want to watch one of his again.

Role Models

Plot:

Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott star in Role Models as Danny and Wheeler, two salesmen who trash a company truck on an energy drink-fueled bender. Upon their arrest, the court gives them a choice: do hard time or spend 150 hours with a mentorship program. After one day with the kids, however, jail doesn't look half bad. Once the center's ex-con director (Jane Lynch) gives them an ultimatum, Danny and Wheeler are forced to tailor their brand of immature wisdom to their charges, Augie (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) and Ronnie (Bobb'e J. Thompson). And if they can just make it through probation without getting thrown in jail, the world's worst role models will prove that, sometimes, it takes a village idiot to raise a child.

Review:

Movie stars Stiffler and that guy that is in every Judd Apataw movie-- Sean William Scott and Paul Rudd -- and also has McLovin and some funny ass black kid. Seems too good to be true. And it kinda is. Now, this movie isn't as edgy as Superbad or 40 Year Old Virgin but it is out there with some great one liners and boobies. Still, those really edgy movies, as mentioned above, have set the standards for me in terms of comedy with fast jokes that you'll squirt milk out of your nose for minutes. This movie had a few of those but nothing over the top. Its like the movie Big Daddy with Adam Sandler type shit where you attempt to care for the characters. I might be an asshole here, but I can care less about the characters in comedies. Show me funny ass jokes and quite possible T&A. Sex sells folks! Amen.

The match is supposed to be easily won by Creed, but someone forgot to tell Rocky, who sees this as his only shot at the big time.

Classic movie. One of the best boxing films of all time. If you haven't seen this movie you've been living under a rock. Only boxing movie that comes close to this one is Raging Bull but I like this one better. Go check it out NOW!

Plot:

Turk and Rooster, two aging NYPD detectives who have been longtime partners are faced with a serial killer who is murdering sociopathic criminals. They both have personal issues, and when they start working with a younger team, Perez and Riley, tensions between the pairs of partners is inevitable, especially since Turk is now living with Perez's ex-girlfriend, also a homicide detective.

Review:

Ok. We got Pacino. We got De Niro. Arguably the 2 best actors of our time. We got Donnie 'Don't call me Marky Mark' Wahlberg and Carla Gugino's smoking bod. This has all the makings of a great movie. Too bad its NOT. The story is really thin and is obvious whats gonna happen at the end. Its not Heat and if you rent it hoping to see something similar you'll be disappointed. The worst part of this flick is that you're supposed to believe that Pacino and DeNiro are detectives when they look like they should be in a retirement home. Now, its not terrible. Its just a let down.

Pineapple Express

Plot:

Lazy court-process clerk and stoner Dale Denton has only one reason to visit his equally lazy dealer Saul Silver: to purchase weed, specifically, a rare new strain called Pineapple Express. But when Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop and the city's most dangerous drug lord, he panics and dumps his roach of Pineapple Express at the scene. Dale now has another reason to visit Saul: to find out if the weed is so rare that it can be traced back to him--and it is. As Dale and Saul run for their lives, they quickly discover that they're not suffering from weed-fueled paranoia: incredibly, the bad guys really are hot on their trail and trying to figure out the fastest way to kill them both. All aboard the Pineapple Express.

Review:

I must say that I was marginally disappointed with this one. There was a lot of hoop-lah about it being hilarious stoner movie. Now, I wasn't stoned when I watched it, I was drunk. So that could have had an effect on my thoughts of it. I found myself laughing a few times but I thought a lot of the jokes were hit-or-miss. Franco was the funniest guy in the movie by far and its worth it to see his shenanigans.

His nightly foot patrols and overly watchful eyes bring comfort to some, but he becomes increasingly harassing to the newlyweds. The persistent intrusions into the lives of Chris and Lisa ultimately take a turn for the worse when the couple decides to fight back.

Samuel 'Mother Fucking' Jackson vs. Uppie White Guy

Guess who dies first?

...

Pretty predictable movie. I don't really like these movies based on neighbors hating each other. I hate my neighbors but I'm not making a movie about it. Plus, just the idea of this movie is boring. If you do like that kinda crap and you do like Sam Jackson, then go see it. I wouldn't.

Review:

First thought when watching the start of this movie was... ah shit... this is gonna suck. Then, amazingly, it picked up. The movie was made to watch in a total 3D environment, from start to finish, and you can really tell it was cause there's a lot of scenes that are visually stunning. Its like watching any of the "Mummy" movies with Brendan Fraser, good action movie with funny quirks throughout.

Review:

I wasn't able to watch this movie when it came out and finally managed to see it now. There was huge hype about this movie being the 2nd best summer movie of the year (2nd to The Dark Knight). So I was expecting something amazing, something crazy, something awesome!... and what I found with all this hoopla, to me, didn't really live up to the hype. Now, I'm not saying this movie was bad or anything. Its a solid movie, decent story and Downey Jr. is awesome as Tony Stark. I just found that in relation to other summer movies, like The Incredible Hulk and Wanted, it wasn't that much better, if at all. It stands way below The Dark Knight in my books. Also, I can't get over how much i dislike Gwenyth Paltrow. I just don't get why people think she's good. PBP, if ya know what I mean.

Along the way, Christopher encounters a series of characters who shape his life.

Review:

The story itself is very interesting to start with since its a true story and a crazy one at that. I enjoyed this movie but again... the ending sucked. And that is why it didnt get such a high rating. Very good actors in this one and a pretty cool adventure. I'd recommend this one to all of you in that it kinda blows your mind.

Review:

One of the best heist movies i've seen in a long time. Great cast with Denzel Washington, Willem Dafoe, Jodie Foster and the coolest dude in the world, Clive Owen. The story is fast and entertaining, with lots of funny little quips along the way. I'd recommend you all to check it out.

Indianna Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Plot:

During the Cold War, Soviet agents watch Professor Henry Jones when a young man brings him a coded message from an aged, demented colleague, Henry Oxley. Led by the brilliant Irina Spalko, the Soviets tail Jones and the young man, Mutt, to Peru. With Oxley's code, they find a legendary skull made of a single piece of quartz. If Jones can deliver the skull to its rightful place, all may be well; but if Irina takes it to its origin, she'll gain powers that could endanger the West. Aging professor and young buck join forces with a woman from Jones's past to face the dangers of the jungle, Russia, and the supernatural.

Review:

If you have never seen an Indiana Jones movie or have and didn't really care what it was about, you'll probably think this is a good summer popcorn movie. However, if your a fan of Indiana Jones you'll probably think this is a steaming pile of shit. And YOU'RE RIGHT!

Problems with this movie are as follows:

1. Story

Indiana Jones is supposed to be about finding lost items that have religious significance. After you watch any one of the original 3 (save maybe 2), it makes you ponder 'what if' type shit about the history of the world. The Raiders of the Lost Arc was about finding the Covenant of the 10 Commandments. The Last Crusade was about finding the Holy Grail. This movie was about... fucking aliens if you can believe it.

2. George 'Let's just use CGI instead of doing real stunts' Lucas

There is so much CGI in this movie that it gets to the point where your saying 'is this star wars?'. None of the first 3 movies had hardly any CGI , this movie is filled with it and it looks plain stupid.

3. Finale

Ok, let's throw the movie together in the last 30 minutes and see if anyone realized that we really messed up this piece of shit.

So who's responsible for making this piece of shit?

George Lucas wrote it.
Spielberg directed it.
Harrison Ford starred in it.

How do you fuck this up?

The Incredible Hulk

Plot:

A cure is in reach for the world's most primal force of fury: THE INCREDIBLE HULK. We find scientist Bruce Banner, living in shadows, scouring the planet for an antidote. But the warmongers who dream of abusing his powers won't leave him alone, nor will his need to be with the only woman he has ever loved, Betty Ross. Upon returning to civilization, our brilliant doctor is ruthlessly pursued by The Abomination -- a nightmarish beast of pure adrenaline and aggression whose powers match The Hulk's own. A fight of comic-book proportions ensues as Banner must call upon the hero within to rescue New York City from total destruction. One scientist must make an agonizing final choice -- accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or the creature he could permanently become: THE INCREDIBLE HULK.

Review:

Gotta say, even though I thought the idea of remaking the Hulk series again was silly, this movie was pretty good.

They did it in a way where you can almost call this a sequel to the first one even though its really not. Different characters, same roles. Lets COMPARE!

Generals
Sam Elliot vs William Hurt : both did the job, i think Elliots performance was a bit better, especially when he's pissed off.

Villians
Nick Nolte vs Tim Roth : Mr.Orange wins this one. Way more interesting character.

Betty the babe
Liv Tyler vs Jennifer Connely : close one here. All the oldies will say that Connely wins and i'll have to agree.

Hulks
Edward Norton vs. Eric Bana : 2 really good actors and if you say that Bana sucks, go see the movie 'Chopper' and apologize to me, cause im right god dammit.

Story:
better story in the 2nd one just flowed smoothly and was still action packed.

Review:

Ok, I really liked the Sixth Sense, Signs and shit the Village and Unbreakable were decent flicks but since he came out with Lady in the Water, its been a downhill journey Sad

This ranks a little higher than Lady in the Water but don't get me wrong, its still shit - just shit gift wrapped with a ribbon and bow accordingly.

M.Night is really good at doing up suspense and that scary stuff he's famous for in the above mentioned movies but unlike those movies this one lacks a decent ending. Its just such a lame, boring ending that it kinda feels like your cheated. To top it off, the film only runs 1hr 30 min. Makes ya wonder if they made it for the money. Its a cool idea but if you don't have a solid conclusion, whats the point?

He brings the anti-hero to have dinner at his home, and introduces him to his son and fan Aaron and to his wife, Mary. But Mary does not want Hancock in her life.

Review:

Will Smith plays Hancock, a lazy bum of a super hero, who is also a drunk. I like it already. Really funny start to the movie with a cool idea but it kinda drags into the end. Short movie that leaves the ending kinda open but really doesn't matter cause I don't care that much. Watch for the whale scene, made me laugh my ass off. Apparently the first screenplay was really good until hollywood got a hold of it.

Review:

This is by far my favorite 'wuss movie'. A different take on a 'coming of age' tale with lots of funny stuff along the way. Zach Braff wrote, directed and starred in this tale of a man who is trying to find himself. A very touching movie that I'd recommend to all of you.

This is an action packed suspense/adventure flick that is quite awesome. Really well done with a good story and strong cast of actors. Gets you into it early and keeps you interested throughout. Review:

I wanted to check this movie out a few months ago while I was in Spokane bored in the mall. Instead I watched 10,000 BC due to time constraints. Anyways, this movie is a good zombie-like-action-flick with decent action scenes and some decent characters. Very decent...

Its about a disease that wipes out northern part of the UK and the government puts up huge ass walls to keep em out. Apparently theres some people still alive in there after 20 years and they go into investigate it.

The only thing that kept me watching this movie is the main actress: Rhona Mitra (see below). Not gonna lie, she was smoking in it. Kinda made the movie cheap in a way... but I didn't want to make a fuss.

Also, the same song that was used in 28 Days Later. Just remixed... So it really felt like the same movie.

This movie is a combination of the The Transporter series and Final Destination series. So it has a ton of good action sequences and some funny ass deaths. And like those movies, its kinda hokey-pokey. Some cheesey shots and other weird things go on but its a pretty good action flick with some decent hotties. Ian McShane, as he always is, the MAN again. I managed to read the book in 24 hours which seems improbable for a guy like me -- thank you boring niteshifts. And I really enjoyed the book. Review:

aka 'The best movie of the summer and if you don't see it I'll drive to your home and knee you in the groin'

By far the best movie of the summer. Has all the same good stuff you seen in the first one (Batman Begins) and adds so much more. All the hype you hear about Heath Ledger's Joker being Oscar worthy is true. He steals the show and owns ever scene he's in. Even if you don't like Batman, its worth it to check out his performance.

Action sequences are top notch and when you got a great cast of actors and a story that rolls its hard to mess it up. Makes me scratch my head at Indiana Jones again... Rolling Eyes

The only thing I can say against it is that is runs a little long.

However, Charlie Wilson eventually learns that while military victory can had, there are other consequences and prices to that fight that are ignored to everyone's sorrow.

Review:

I really liked this movie. Its a great story of 1 man changing history. Tom Hanks portrays the perfect playboy of a senator ( little less slummy than Burt Reynolds in Striptease) and Hoffman's hilarious as the CIA agent. Big stars in this one and some very funny one liners make it a great comedic-drama, with tons of hot ladies if you think its boring. Make sure you watch for Hoffman's first scene with his boss, its hilarious.

Cole and Hitch contrive to arrest Bragg and bring him to trial, but hanging him proves difficult. Meanwhile, a widow has arrived in town, Allison French, pretty, refined, and good-natured. Virgil falls hard, and it seems mutual, but there may be more to Allie than meets the eye. Can friendship and skill with a gun overcome a pernicious villain and green-eyed jealousy?

Review:

Western movies are hard to come by these days but when they do they're usually pretty good. This one is somewhere in the middle. Good performances from Ed Harris and Viggo in this one but the slow pace is a bit frustrating. Especially with the fast gunfight at the start of this one. The best parts of this movie are in the action/gun fight sequences. Sadly they only last 10-15 seconds each. Worst part of this movie is Renee Zel-lemoface-welger. She's terrible in this and I can't stand her. Other than that, if you can get over the slow pace you'll probably enjoy this flick.

Probably one of the best movies of the year pretty much due to the acting of that chick who used to be in Trailer Park Boys... Ellen Page is her name i think. This movie would have sucked big time if she wasn't in it. Well deserving of the Oscar nomination for best actress and best picture/director and all the other stuff. And... its not a chick flick as some of you might think, its pretty close but its not quite off-side. I enjoyed it and anyone who thinks different can go to hell

The Assassination of Jesse James

Review:
The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford

Rating: 2/5

This is one of the longest movies I have ever seen. It is because its so slow and has very little action. The anticipation to see Jesse James getting killed was immense. I wanted him to die so bad because it would mean the end of the movie... but i was mistaken. There was another 15-30 minutes after it in which was more painful than the first 190, but with a surprisingly satisfying end. Note: the narrator throughout the movie should of been shot as well.
